Once evaluated, there are a number of treatments for erectile dysfunction, varying from oral therapies that can be taken on demand (for example, sildenafil [Viagra, Revatio], vardenafil [Levitra, Staxyn], avanafil [Stendra], and tadalafil [Cialis, Adcirca]) or once daily (tadalafil), intraurethral therapies (alprostadil [Muse]), injection therapies (alprostadil, combination therapies), the vacuum device, and penile prostheses. Less commonly, arterial revascularization procedures can be performed. It is important to discuss the indications and risks of each of these therapies to determine which is best for you.
Problems with the veins that drain the penis can also contribute to erectile dysfunction. If the veins are not adequately compressed, blood can drain out of the penis while blood is coming into the penis and this prevents a fully rigid erection and maintaining an erection. Venous problems can occur as a result of conditions that affect the tissue that the veins are compressed against, the tunica albuginea. Such conditions include Peyronie's disease (a condition of the penis associated with scarring [plaques] in the tunica albuginea that may be associated with penile curvature, pain with erections, and ED), older age, diabetes mellitus, and penile trauma (penile fracture).

If stress, anxiety, or other emotional issues are causing the condition, counseling may help. Some men experience erectile dysfunction because of past experiences that cause a lack of self-esteem, fear, or guilt, and counseling can help you overcome those negative feelings. Couple counseling can also help improve mutual understanding and acceptance in a relationship, allowing you to feel more comfortable during intimacy.

The butterfly pose is well known for strengthening the pelvic floor and restoring sexual energy back into its muscles. Diamond hip thrusts are a variation of that exercise. Instead of flapping your legs, they involve thrusting your hips forward and backward in an alternate motion. This increases the flexibility and mobility of your hip joints and prevents sexual conditions like erectile dysfunction. Sit down on the floor. Bend your knees at 90 degrees. Join your feet to make a diamond shape with your legs on the floor. Keep your back straight and shoulders relaxed. Place your palms firmly on the floor behind your back. Lift your seat muscles off the floor. Thrust your pelvis forward and backward in this position. Swing your pelvis from side to side. Repeat in a seamless motion. Stability ball stretch
It has already been proven by many surveys that have taken place regarding these exercises that they are extremely successful. One survey reports up to 40% of men that did these exercises before using medication did not need any further help in treating their erectile dysfunction problems.

The Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial was a landmark study by Thompson et al that prospectively assessed the time to developing CVD after the diagnosis of ED. There were 4247 men with no ED at study entry; 2420 developed incident ED (defined as the first report of ED of any grade) over 5 years. Those men that developed ED had a 1.45-fold higher probability of experiencing a CV event compared with men who did not develop ED.27
The American gynecologist Arnold Kegel came up with pelvic floor muscle training in 1948 and they've been popular ever since. Pelvic floor exercises can prevent incontinence, stop premature ejaculation, and heighten orgasms.
