According to the Mayo Clinic, oral medications are usually the first-line treatment for ED. Those medications include Sildenafil (Viagra), vardenafil (Levitra, Staxyn), tadalafil (Cialis) and avanafil (Stendra). They operate by helping relax muscles in the penis by strengthening the effects of nitric oxide, a naturally occurring chemical in the body. The drugs increase blood flow to allow patients to get an erection.
A facility-based cross-sectional study was conducted among male clients who visited community pharmacies in Gondar town, North West Ethiopia. Gondar is located 738 km away from Addis Ababa, the capital city of the country. At the time of the study, there were 20 pharmacies and 34 drug stores in the town. Based on a projection from the National Census conducted in 2007, its population was estimated to be around 249,851 with the male to female ratio estimated to be around 1.5:1 (23). The study was conducted from March 20, 2017 to May 10, 2017. .
Cialis came off patent in November 2017 allowing other pharmaceutical manufacturers to make a generic version using the same active ingredient called Tadalafil. As with all genuine generic medication, Tadalafil works exactly the same as the branded product but is much cheaper.

Stability ball is one of the most versatile exercise equipment out there. You can use it to stretch and strengthen any part of your body. Vidyut, for instance, has incorporated it into his kalari sutra workout. He has placed his feet atop it while being in a plank position and pushed his hips upward and downward in an alternate motion, so as to stretch and strengthen the joints. When you do this exercise, make sure you maintain proper balance and stop your legs from falling off the stability ball. Go down on all fours. Place your palms on the floor in line with your shoulders. Lift your legs off the floor and place them on a stability ball. Keep your elbows and knees straight. Raise your hips to make a mountain with your body. Lower your hips and bring them as close to the floor as possible without touching it. Repeat in a seamless motion.
There is growing interest in SWT and other regenerative therapies that seek to "cure" ED, rather than simply treat it. Although some early data support this line of research, there is a lack of high-quality evidence supporting the widespread use of SWT (or other treatments like plasma-rich protein or stem cell injections) for treatment of ED. In the absence of clinical trials showing its long-term effectiveness, SWT has not been approved by the FDA for treatment of ED and is not covered by insurance. In its guidelines for ED treatment, the AUA designates SWT as an "investigational" treatment that should be limited to research trials. "Our results show that real-world practice does not adhere to these recommendations," Drs. Weinberger, Eleswarapu, and colleagues write. They believe that patients exploring treatment for ED "should be evaluated by urologists who are equipped to conduct a formal men's health evaluation and provide a data-driven and patient-centric discussion of treatment options."
Among the most popular treatment options for erectile dysfunction are pharmaceuticals. Drugs such as Viagra (Sildenafil), Levitra (Vardenafil), and Cialis (Tadalafil) are popular and boast an 80% success rate. These drugs are classified as phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE-5) – which enable an erection, temporarily, but are not the best for maintaining an erection over time.

A penile prosthesis or implant is an effective treatment for erectile dysfunction. Penile implant surgeries take about an hour and are typically done in an outpatient center.
Kegel exercises, or pelvic exercises, have proven to be effective in addressing erectile dysfunction, and it should be used as the first-line of treatment. The ischiocavernosus and bulbocavernosus muscles in the pelvic area surround the penis and are active during an erection. The following exercises aim to strengthen these muscles.
These muscles are right there around the base of your penis, and they control blood flow to your erectile tissue. A strong pelvic floor, including toned pubococcygeus (PC) muscles, provides rigidity and compresses penile veins, stopping blood from leaving your penis. You're also more likely to achieve an erection that points up.
Penile self-injection therapy is a shot that is inserted into the penis and produces an erection for up to an hour or more. This injection is mostly used to treat erectile dysfunction, but can help with other penile conditions as well.
Treatment of erectile dysfunction depends on the underlying cause of the condition. For fastest results, it’s best to consult a doctor to get appropriate treatment recommendations, which may include: 1. Lifestyle changes Maintaining a healthy weight Staying physically active (running, walking, stretching) Quitting smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and any drug abuse Stress management through meditation, sports, music, or yoga Getting adequate sleep and rest 2. Counseling
Treatment depends on what is causing it. If it is caused by uncontrolled blood sugar and high blood pressure, take your medicine and follow your doctor’s instructions.
