The treatment for your ED will depend on what's causing it, as well as what you and your partner think will work best. Your doctor can help you decide. Treatments include:
The butterfly pose is well known for strengthening the pelvic floor and restoring sexual energy back into its muscles. Diamond hip thrusts are a variation of that exercise. Instead of flapping your legs, they involve thrusting your hips forward and backward in an alternate motion. This increases the flexibility and mobility of your hip joints and prevents sexual conditions like erectile dysfunction. Sit down on the floor. Bend your knees at 90 degrees. Join your feet to make a diamond shape with your legs on the floor. Keep your back straight and shoulders relaxed. Place your palms firmly on the floor behind your back. Lift your seat muscles off the floor. Thrust your pelvis forward and backward in this position. Swing your pelvis from side to side. Repeat in a seamless motion. Stability ball stretch .

All of the ED medications belong to a group of drugs called ‘PDE5 inhibitors’ and work in the same way. They dilate the blood vessels leading to the penis resulting in a firm, longer lasting erection.
The common PDE5 inhibitor drugs approved in the United States are sildenafil (Viagra), vardenafil (Levitra and Staxyn, the generic form), tadalafil (Cialis), or avanafil (Stendra). All of the currently approved PDE5 inhibitors work in the same way. They differ in the number of available doses, how quickly they work and last in your system, the dosing, and to some extent in the side effects. However, they generally share the same indications and contraindications. Currently, tadalafil is the only medication that patients can take daily and is approved for the treatment of both ED and BPH (benign enlargement of the prostate).

In addition, your doctor may address underlying conditions. They may suggest counseling or medication changes. They also may suggest lifestyle changes, including increased exercise or dietary changes. It is also a good idea to avoid drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. A significantly larger proportion of patients had successful sexual encounters within 15 minutes of taking avanafil (Stendra) compared with placebo (P≤0.05), John Mulhall, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and colleagues reported here at the World Meeting on Sexual Medicine.
The hardening of the arteries associated with smoking tobacco can reduce flowing blood to the penis. Smoking also results in oxidative stress – another risk factor for erectile dysfunction. Fortunately, quitting smoking has shown to relieve much of the ED risks associated with the habit.
Vacuum constriction devices, or penis pumps, may be useful in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence). A penis pump is an acrylic cylinder with a pump that can be attached to the end of the penis. The pump then creates a vacuum to help the penis become erect, while a constriction ring maintains the erection.
A vacuum constriction device (VCD) is an external pump with a band on it that a man with erectile dysfunction can use to get and maintain an erection.
